Andrew Couch
Managing Director
As Managing Director, Andy brings to DJM Realty and its clients over 25 years’ diverse experience. He advises supermarket clients in the areas of growth strategy, acquisitions, divestitures, store dispositions, lease restructuring, and cost reduction.
Prior to joining DJM in 2010, Mr. Couch was Vice President of Investments at Regency Centers a leading national REIT with over 200 grocery-anchored shopping centers (NYSE: REG). Prior to Regency, Andy was Vice President of Real Estate at the Hannaford supermarket subsidiary of $29 billion Delhaize Group (NYSE: DEG). Before Delhaize/Hannaford, Andy was a Senior Consultant at the Washington, DC office of KPMG. At Hannaford, he chaired the Real Estate Committee and the Corporate Development Finance Committee, and he played a major role in the company’s decision-making and execution for major capital investments, geographic expansion, acquisitions, and divestitures.
He has been a guest speaker at events held by the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Food Marketing Institute. Andy received a B.S. in business administration from West Virginia Wesleyan College, and a M.S. from the University of Maryland Graduate School of Management and Technology. He has completed leadership and executive development programs with Delhaize Group (ORACLE/Belgium – 2003) and at Columbia University.
